Mend: Our Fall Retreat

July 15, 2019

registration for this event is now closed

Give yourself a space to connect and heal. Registration is open for the Fall Retreat on September 13 and 14.

Registration is open for Reservoir’s fifth annual retreat, featuring guest speaker Laura Everett.

Laura Everett is the Executive Director of the Massachusetts Council of Churches and has also spent a great amount of time exploring the spirituality of mending.

Laura believes that “God is a mender. God takes what the world considers disposable, curls up in a large chair and looks with patience to repair what is broken in each of us. God sees our tears and tenderly stitches us up. Sometimes that repair feels like an unraveling. Yet, mending is an affirmation of worth.”

She will use this rich and tactile metaphor to help us explore our own places that might need honest repair – whether it’s in our communities, relationships, or ourselves.

Come to experience lots of opportunities to rest, renew, and mend your broken places. Many people point to our annual retreat as one of the highlights of their year.

The retreat will be held on beautiful Cedar Lake in Sturbridge, MA, where swimming, paddle boats, and playgrounds are all available and nearby. The hotel has on-site mini golf and an indoor pool and hot tub, and Old Sturbridge Village is nearby.
