Godly Play Spirituality for Everyone: Deconstructing and Reconstructing Faith Traditions

This is a 3-part series [Oct 15, Oct 25, Nov 5] on talking through the Bible, Spiritual Practices, and Community. We’re utilizing our Kids Church ministry’s curriculum/approach called Godly Play, but this class is for everyone of all ages: kids, young adults, and adults! We’ll talk about traditions we’ve let go and practices that we can begin or reclaim in a fresh way.

Join us as we talk about how to acknowledge what’s troubling about the Bible, about our experiences of prayer, and even about community—and look for ways to build on the good that all three of those areas have to offer. All through the lens of this thing called “Godly Play spirituality”: a way of relating to faith through story, wondering, and play. Please lend your voice to our conversation!

It’ll be facilitated by Pastor Lydia and Pastor Dan. Childcare will be available, though anyone is welcome in the class!

10:45am – 11am: Connecting (Drop childcare off)
11 – 12pm: Story, Sharing, Wondering Questions, Example (Childcare available)
12pm Lunch (Childcare kids join us for lunch) in the MC Dining Room
