We’re experimenting with “neighboring” as a community. The basic question comes down to, do we know or could we learn, the names of the people living in close physical proximity to us? In Jesus’s famous parable of the good Samaritan, the neighbor is the one who “has compassion.” The Neighboring idea says that learning people’s names is the first step in showing compassion.
If that sounds compelling, but you’re not sure how to start, we have resources for you! There is an Art of Neighboring Bible Guide on our blog, written by Ivy Anthony. Ivy and friends have also developed a panoply of resources to help us get started, available on our Neighboring page.
