A Winter Solstice Lantern Celebration

December 21, 2019 @ 5:30 pm - 6:30 pm

Image of jars with candles lit inside. Colored paper wrap surrounds jars.
Happening this month at Reservoir’s new Center for Flourishing…
Do you love the idea of engaging in an ancient ritual on the darkest night of the year?  Do you want to celebrate and mark that light is returning…..with others? Come join others in creating a lantern out of a jar (and creating light on the darkest night of the year!). We will have tissue paper, stickers, markers, ribbon, and battery powered tea-lights.  Music will be playing while we create, and once we are done we will have a chance to take our light/our lanterns on a walk around the neighborhood.
Bring your kids, that neighbor down the street you have been wanting to get to know or who may enjoy the activity, your best friend, your mailman. Plenty of parking is available in the church parking lot.
Bring a jar (mason jar or a food jar you wash out) and decorations for your jar.
