Cambridge Chronicle Highlights Black Yard Arts and Reservoir Church

June 8, 2020

Reservoir Church was given a shoutout in last night’s Instagram post from the Cambridge Chronicle, for our partnership in raising funds related to our 2020 Soccer Nights care packages for kids.

From The Cambridge Chronicle Instagram, June 7:

“The [Cambridge Rindge and Latin School] Black Student Union, @blackyardarts, & Reservoir Church, Cambridge, MA are centering on empowering all Black children in Cambridge with this project: “Creating, Healing and Joy during covid-19.” If you can, please support our fundraiser as we create 300 #BlackJoy Kits (writing and art supplies, books) to help provide Black children a way to cope during recent local, national, & global events that have impacted their young Black lives’ and health. #GiveBlack ✊🏿✊🏾✊🏽✊🏼”

BlackJoy kits, supporting arts and Black child empowerment, will be included as part of each of our Soccer Nights care packages for our Cambridge neighborhood kids this month. Reservoir Church is hosting Virtual Soccer Nights starting this month due to the Covid-19 pandemic and the need to cancel in-person soccer programming for safe social distancing. But the love goes on! We are grateful for the opportunity to support and partner with the amazing work of  Black Yard Arts and CRLS’s Black Student Union.
