Soccer Nights Stories

Sebastien, A Soccer Nights Participant and Crew Member

Reservoir Church runs Soccer Nights each summer for the community with all kinds of volunteers and participants. We’re happy to share some stories with you.

I’m thirteen and go to Prospect Hill Academy school.  I’ve been doing Soccer Nights for all of the ten years of its existence. Soccer Nights is really fun, and interactive.  It’s a good chance to get some exercise, because you should always do activity for two hours a day.  That’s what my doctor says, at least.  Before, Soccer Nights was just in North Cambridge, but then it evolved to other cities like Somerville and Everett.  So,  it’s getting bigger and spreading.

I’m on crew this year.  Crew is basically like, signing in the coaches and the assistant coaches, and kids; also, passing out the t-shirts for the kids that haven’t gotten them, or for the first day or second day where the kids come in and get the t-shirts.   They’re like, “Oh my gosh, I’m so happy,” because they’re always happy when they get the new t-shirts.
